Catrisha Sawyer Watts

Catrisha Sawyer WattsMeet Queen Catrisha Sawyer Watts. She has a beautiful soul and a few years ago we shared the same living space as college roomies. I just love her. I admire her journey and am grateful for her friendship. Over the years I have been in awe of the direction her life has taken. Today we honor her journey, her obedience and simply celebrate this beautiful being – Mrs. Watts.

Her name is Catrisha and she is a Queen Rising.

Q: Why do you consider yourself to be a Queen Rising?
I honestly never really considered myself a Queen…more like a Princess because my Father is the King of kings!

I have risen above hopelessness, and am continuously striving to rise above fear because my faith and hope is in God and I believe I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
My faith in God has caused me to take paths and do things that may seem crazy to some and even seemed crazy to me when I first did it — leaving my good government, well paid job to be a work at home mom for a while and then going back to school (with 3 young children) for a career change to special education. But through this time of walking by faith, I have learned to lean on Him like never before and HE has allowed me to see miracles like never before and caused people to bless me in ways I couldn’t imagine. I am so grateful. There were some Very tough times but it was during that time that I learned most about him.
Catrisha Sawyer WattsQ: What advice would you give to Queens that are currently going through a similar situation from which you have risen?
Always be in prayer for the path/decisions that God would have you to make or take in life. Keep the faith, hold fast to His word, and never give up. When times get hard as they will always do when you are trying to follow His path, look to Him for strength and find encouragement from those who he has appointed in your life to hold you accountable.
Q: Name your favorite beauty product right now. Why?
I’ve become such a simple person when it comes to beauty lately. I have my four children to blame for that because they leave me very little time to focus on myself. So honestly my simple beauty product is a water bottle mixed with coconut oil that I use to give my hair moisturization and hydration. Two things that I feel my hair needs on a daily basis. I also use coconut oil for my skin too. I’m still striving for  more of a beauty regimen for myself though.
Catrisha Sawyer WattsQ: What is the last book you read that you would recommend to other Queens? Why?
The Holy Bible!  This is the book that I have been mostly reading and focusing on lately. It is just so alive and active for me right now.
Q: Share one unique fact/quirk about you that makes you uniquely you.
I read everything that comes in my line of sight. I don’t know why I have to do this but I just love information and find myself reading everything. Some people tend to call me nosey and I do have a little bit of that too…lol..but I really do think it’s just because I love information and I have to read everything.
Q: What is your favorite physical feature?
My smile…I genuinely love smiling!
Q: What is your favorite quote of the moment?
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy”. Martin Luther King Jr.
